Broadening Our Local Footprint

Community Housing Associates expands its reach beyond owned properties by partnering with private property owners to lease additional housing units throughout Baltimore. This collaborative approach allows us to house more individuals and families while maintaining quality living standards across all properties. By working directly with property owners, we ensure residents receive consistent, high-quality housing regardless of whether they live in our owned or leased units.

Reaching the Most Vulnerable

At Community Housing Associates, we recognize the unique financial challenges faced by individuals living with mental illness. Our focus is on serving those with very low incomes, specifically within the 0-30% range of the area median income. We ensure that no resident pays more than 30% of their income on housing through creative resource use and innovative management.

Meaningful Change in Numbers

Our impact is measurable through the lives we have changed and homes we have provided. Key highlights include:

  • Increase unit availability through strategic acquisitions and partnerships throughout the Baltimore community.
  • Long-term housing stability for vulnerable individuals and families.
  • Consistent support helps residents regain independence and well-being.
